Alisa Kim, OTD, OTR/L

Biography

Alisa Kim, OTD, OTR/L is an occupational therapist who received her doctorate in 2019. Her experience is primarily working with the older adult/geriatric population working in acute care hospitals and home health settings in the greater Los Angeles area. Having had her grandparents help raise her, she has also been passionate about helping and working with older adults to live their lives to the fullest and safely as they age into their golden years. She also understands the impact caregiving has on individuals and a family unit as her family helped care for her grandmother after a traumatic brain injury. She is hence also dedicated to ensuring caregivers have the education to safely and effectively assist their loved ones but also the importance of understanding caregiver respite and strategies to decrease caregiver burden.
